Movies24 and Nickelodeon in TP without additional charges

2010-04-27: Clienst of Telekomunikacja Polska (TP) television services will be able to watch Movies24 channel and Nickelodeon without additional charges for one year. Promotion has started on 26th of April. Both channels are automatically adde for all customers who do not have access to them under pay-TV packages. This applies to television services in both technologies - IPTV and satellite.

TP: increase of digital tv subscribers

2010-04-24: Telekomunikacja Polska (TP) once again sees growth of subscribers in its digital television services and has better results than cable competitors. At the end of the first quarter of 2010 TP's IPTV service had 111,000 subscribers - an increase of 2,000 - and 306,000 subscribers of satellite platform - an increase of 43,000.

More sport in Inea cable network

2010-04-21: INEA, the largest regional telecommunication operator in Poland extends is television offer with ntwo channels: nSport and nSport HD. Stations are available in a test transmission for subscribers of selected thematic digital TV packages. INEA TV already offers 141 digital channels, including 15 in high definition.

27 movie channels in Vectra

2010-04-21: Vectra provides the largest number of movie channels in the market and is the best in this category among all operators, including satellite platforms. In the remaining packages - such as sports, children's programmes, erotic channels and the total number of available stations, Vectra ranks in a narrow lead of operators.

Polish Eurosport in 16:9 from 15th of May

2010-04-16: From 15th of May 2010 Polish version of Eurosport will broadcast in 16:9 picture format. So far, we have no specific information about this, all we know is that the broadcaster has informed cable operators about this change. From 10th of June 2009, when Eurosport France started broadcasting signal in widescreen format, there have been many speculations about the changes in the other versions of this channel.

16 HD channels in UPC digital offer

2010-04-13: UPC has prepared a new digital television offer in which all packages include HD channels. On 12th of April seven new HD channels joined UPC digital TV and new packages were introduced - Select HD, MAX HD and Super HD. In all of the UPC Digital TV packages operator offers 16 HD channels and new ones will appear very soon.

Intelsat with Turksat in ME

2010-03-19: The world's leading provider of fixed satellite services Intelsat has announced an agreement with Turksat, the leading satellite operator in Turkey. This agreement will result in enhanced satellite capacity serving the Middle East region. Agreement provides Turksat with satellite capacity on the Intelsat system while Turksat finalizes details of its new satellite.

5 new channels in UPC Digital TV

2010-03-12: From 11th of March UPC Digital TV offer is enriched with five new channels, including one in HD. Subscribers have access to three new stations offered by Polsat Television (Polsat HD, Polsat Film, Polsat Futbol), music and entertainment channel ESKA TV and Russian news channel Russia Today. Polsat HD, ESKA TV and Russia Today are available in Select and Max packages. Polsat Film and Polsat Futbol are part of Max package.

Multimedia Polska financial results

2010-03-09: Multimedia Polska revenues increased in the fourth quarter of 2009 by 10% compared to the corresponding period in 2008, reaching 137.9 mln PLN. For the first time in the company's history annual sales exceeded 0.5 bln PLN. In the fourth quarter of 2009 Multimedia Polska recorded adjusted EBITDA of 72.2 mln PLN or 16% higher than in the corresponding period last year.
