TP: increase of digital tv subscribers

Telekomunikacja Polska (TP) once again sees growth of subscribers in its digital television services and has better results than cable competitors. At the end of the first quarter of 2010 TP's IPTV service had 111,000 subscribers - an increase of 2,000 - and 306,000 subscribers of satellite platform - an increase of 43,000.

TP has 417,000 aubscribers of its all television services - an increase of 45,000. Internet telephony had 123,000 users - a decrease of 17,000 and Livebox - 727,000 - an increase of 25,000. Number of Neostrada users (ADSL internet) during the fourth quarter decreased by 32,000 to 2,039 million users.

At the end of the first quarter fixed-line telephony segment had 8,14 million subscribers - a decrease of 148,000. TP's internet services has 2,68 million users - an increase of 55,000. Revenues from fixed telephony services in the first quarter of 2010 amounted to 2,311 billion PLN and were reduced by 10,5% in comparison with the same period od 2009.
