2010-07-28: Another way to view both free-to-air and premium pay-tv in Poland as digital satellite operator ITI Neovision launches its new TNK HD retail offering using the ADB-2850ST hybrid HD platform. Polish consumers are able to view a range of free-to-air satellite and terrestrial channels, as well as have the option to buy premium content via a smart-card, and access over-the-top services. The new TNK HD receivers are currently being tested in the market since May 21st and will be commercially available throughout the country as of September 1st.

UPC Polska adds 34.600 subscribers of digital TV

2010-05-11: According to information published by Liberty Global, in the first quarter of 2010 cable operator UPC Polska added 34,600 digital TV customers, reaching 264,000. 38,000 subscribers resigned from analogue television, giving the number 749,100. This means that in the first quarter of 2010, UPC Polska lost a total of 3,500 subscribers of television services and at the end of that period had 1,013,100 subscribers. Revenues for the first quarter totaled $79,5 mln.

6 HD channels in TP`s satellite television

2010-05-11: From 12th of May 2010 satellite offer of TP television service will be enriched by 6 HD channels: Fox Life HD, Nat Geo Wild HD, MTVNHD, Eurosport HD, Eurosport 2 HD and HBO HD. Agreement between TVP and TP Emitel for third multiplex

2010-04-28: Polish Television (TVP) and Emitel signed an agreement under which TVP channels will be available in third multiplex of digital terrestrial television (DVB-T). It means TVP begins terrestrial broadcasting of digital terrestrial television. Emitel ensures high quality of this transmission over the next 10 years. Launch of the third multiplex will follow in stages. Unofficial informations say that this DVB-T offer will include: TVP HD, TVP Sport, TVP Historia and TVP Kultura.
