4fun.tv available in 16:9

2010-03-09: On 8th of March 2010 Polish music channel 4fun.tv has started transmission in 16:9 picture format. At the same time channel's logo and graphic has been refreshed. FTA broadcast of 4fun.tv is available on Hot Bird 9 (13°E) satellite. Picture does not include WSS flag therefore some receivers can display it as stretched 4:3.

372.000 subscribers of TP\'s television service

2010-02-24: At the end of the fourth quarter of 2009, TP Group had 372.000 subscribers of its television services. This represents an increase of 89.000 compared to the third quarter of 2008 and yearly increase of 259.000. At the end of 2009, there were 109.000 subscribers of IPTV services and 263.000 of television services via satellite. In one quarter, there were only added 2.000 new IPTV clients and 87.000 new satellite TV subsrcibers.

Latens announces new CAS

2010-02-22: Latens has announced the launch of a software only Conditional Access System (CAS 5), which will work on cable, DTH, DTT, IP and hybrid. Latens CAS allows operators to use multiple CA systems for service delivery. At the headend, it is fully DVB Simulcrypt compliant. In the set-top box, Latens CAS 5 supports Dual CAS mode.

ASTER: 6 new channels in digital offer

2010-02-11: ASTER has introduced a new list of channels. Stations are divided into thematic categories and assigned to the numbering range. In addition, digital BasicPlus package has been enhanced with 6 channels, which until now were available only in the analogue offer: Kino Polska, Universal Channel, Viva Polska, Sport Klub, TV 5 Monde and BBC Entertainment.

Eska TV in UPC Poland

2010-02-11: Eska TV will be available for UPC Poland cable network subscribers thanks to agreement signed by UPC with Delegata colmpany.. Music channel will join the cable network over the next few days. Eska is a new project of Radio Group Time (Eska, Eska Rock, HIT FM, VOX, Wawa) aimed at young people. Channel was launched in May 2009.

BBC Entertainment in digital ASTER

2010-02-05: BBC Worldwide Channels announced that BBC Entertainment will appear in BasicPlus package of ASTER cable network in Warsaw, Cracow and Zielona Gora on 10th of February 2010. Basci Plus package is available for 80,000 subscribers. BBC Entertainment will be still available in analogue Basic package.

Nat Geo Wild HD in ASTER

2010-02-03: ASTER cable adds Nat Geo Wild HD to its offer. New channel is available from 1st of February in HD Package with 7 other high definition channels. Polish language version of National Geographic Wild HD debuted in 2009. Nat Geo Wild HD takes viewers on a journey to the center of events and allows to see nature up close and in the smallest details.

Discovery Historia and Investigation Discovery in TP from 1st of March

2010-01-25: From 1st of March offer of TP's television packages (both IPTV and SAT) will be extended by 2 channels - Investigation Discovery and Discovery Historia. Test broadcasting should start at the end of January. Both channels will be available in the M package (and automatically in the higher L package).
