PIRC is a continuation of the Stowarzyszenie Firm Branzy Satelitarnej (SFBS), an organization founded in 2002. Izba brings together manufacturers of equipment for satellite and terrestrial television, and companies serving the leading broadcasters and individual customers of the domestic market.
