100,000 DTV subscribers in Multimedia Polska

2010-01-25: Multimedia Polska, operator that offers digital and analogue cable television as well as Internet and fixed telephony has 100,000 subscribers of digital TV. That's more than 40% in comparison the the end of 2008. All subscribers use digital television HD decoders. In one year company added nearly 40 new DTV channels. Currently, digital television viewers can watch 99 channels and 11 in High Definition.

Nagravision and DISH Network Sign New Long-Term Agreement

300,000 users of TP\'s television service?

2010-01-07: TP Group has announced its results for the third quarter of 2009 which show that there were 176,000 users of satellite television offer and 107,000 internet user. This gives a total of 283,000 clients, an increase of 44,000 users within one quarter. Polish Telecom is growing in strength and becomes a serious competitor.

TOYA with 8 new channels

2009-12-15: On 15th of December 2009 TOYA cable network extends its offer once again and maintaines a leading position among Polish operators in terms of number of offered channels. TOYA offers its subscribers a record number of 152 channels with 149 channels available in digital format.

DVB-T multiplex I without commercial channels

2009-12-14: On 21st of December 2009 a meeting will take place about the first DVB-T multiplex and its reservation for Polish Television (TVP) as well as about relocating such channels as Polsat, TVN, TV Puls and TV4 to second DVB-T multiplex. This project has the support of National Broadcasting Council, TVP and commercial broadcasters.

UPC on-demand from 2nd of December

2009-12-04: Since its launch on 2nd of December UPC offers in its on-demand service hundreds of hours of movies and TV shows, including blockbuster films "Slumdog Millionaire", "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and "Treasure Island Kids: The Battle of Treasure Island". In December JimJam hits are available free of charge.

UPC and Vectra - leaders of digital cable

2009-12-02: Vectra is a leader on the Polish cable market in terms of number of subscribers of DTV services, at the end of third quarter of 2009 Vectra had 225,000 clients. However, in the third quarter most of the clients have chosen UPC and its subscriber base grew during this time by 33,500 (Vectra added only 5,000 new subscribers).

Multimedia Polska without Polsat sports channels?

2009-11-24: Multimedia Polska - Polish cable network has informed their subscribers about the possibility of losing Polsat television sports channels. In early 2010 cable network customers might lose an opportunity to watch Polsat Sport, Polsat Sport Extra and Polsat Sport HD.
