TVP with HD studio

TVP studio S1 will be soon adapted to produce programmes in high definition (HD). In the studio, which is almost ready, mainly entertainment programmes will be made. In July, TVP will have a brand new HD vehicle.

The decision to produce programmes in high definition has been made in TVP in 2006, but long tendering process slightly expanded the project. The new vehicle will have 18 HD television cameras and will be used for sports transmissions, in addition, it will be able to work with every TVP studio.

Another investment in HD should be providing this standard to the largest TVP studio, Łęg in Cracow, but it was set aside. With the current state of finances and uncertainty of TVP subscription revenues this year's HD investments end with a vehicle and broadcasting studio in Warsaw.
