2002-01-25: British media group Pearson sale its 22% of RTL Group. Euro Bertelsmann, which already now supervise RTL pack, will pay for it 1,5 mld Euro.

Arabsat 3A failed transmission

2002-01-25: On 7th December eight transponder on Arabsat 3A failed transmission due to a failure of a main power switching panel. Ground control was able to restore broadcasts of some transponders by re-allocation of frequency and alternative power supply.
