RTBF first Belgian Sat Channel

RTBF has officially confirmed release of their new satellite channel under the name RTBF SAT. Transmission from Astra 1H - 19,2E satellite have been started from 26th November and is not coded.

Discussions about Belgian satellite channel have taken already a year. Finally, on the 12th October a contract for one satellite channel transmission - RTBF SAT base of programmes production for terestrial RTBF1 and RTBF 2 have been agreed and signed.

From preliminary information, the programme will be introduced as follows : about 6.30pm. programme for children, 7.30pm. evening informations, and 10.30pm. special magazine for satellite's RTBF version. Programme for RTBF SAT will be print in French version of Tele Satellite magazine.

Parameters/Settings for receiving RTBF SAT are: Astra 1H, 12,610V, SR=22000, FEC=5/6, PID V=48, PID A=49.
