3 new Universal channels in Poland

Head of Universal Networks, Roma Kahnna, announced the launch of 3 Universal channels in Poland in 2010. Independent websites suggest such Universal Networks stations as: Diva Universal, 13th Street Universal and Studio Universal. Currently Universal offers 5 channels on the Polish market: Universal Channel, Sci-Fi, Movies24, Hallmark and KidsCo.

The head of Universal Networks also announced that company will significantly increase the number of channels in its portfolio. There should be 80-90 stations at the end of next year, including three new for Poland. Unfortunately, because of the recession company did not managed to launch even more channels but the problem was not on the part of Universal Networks but its partners which must modernize infrastructure and that requires investments. Satellite DTH platforms must wait for the launch of new capacities on new satellites in order to broaden their offer.
