SAT KURIER 10/2009

As promised, on 15th of September 2009 the first free part of the digital platform from Polish Television launched. We write more detail about it.

As the first we showed official coverage map of the spot beam for TVP transponder 59
on the basis of data from SES ASTRA.

Telewizja Polska was working a few years on developing its own digital platform. However, only a few months ago, based on the experience of the British BBC and the Freesat platform, developed a business model platform, which enables TVP to fully implement the mission of rescuing Polish digitization.

Telewizja Polska, as a public service broadcaster, must build its own, independent, advanced digital satellite distribution. In the future digital terrestrial broadcasting (DVB-T) will not provide an availability of a digital signal for all citizens, and to the public broadcaster is obliged Act on radio and television.

In this issue we continue to print a list of FTA channels from Astra and Hot Bird, with TVP FTA channels in MPEG4 from ASTRA 19.2 E. It surprises us, a competitive magazine which is acting for 20 years but now take a leaf out of one's book from us the idea for such a list - it is a shame!

We have started an interesting new chapter in the SAT Kurier called: Travels with an antenna. In an analytical article by Maciej Ługowski we write this time about TV market in Turkey. Please send samples of reports with photos to the address [email protected] - the best we will reward valuable products in next year.

We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the two products, which can be very useful after the official start of transmitters NTC (Digital Terrestrial Television) with first DVB-T multiplex.

The first is the receiver TechniSat HDT4 for MPEG-4, and the second is the latest DVB-T tuner RWT DTV-421T.

We also write about Global Stacker De-Stacker (what a name), but this is the English version of the Multi Band Converter from Global Invacom, for sending the signal via a single cable with two LNBs or Twin converter for a single satellite receiver/decoder Twin type or two individual decoders. All with one cable with max length of 30m.
