Eurosport HD in Cyfrowy Polsat

Cyfrowy Polsat and Eurosport have signed an agreement on distribution of Eurosport HD in the programme offer of the largest Polish satellite platform - Cyfrowy Polsat. Eurosport HD oficially launches on 25th May. Eurosport HD will be available on channel 17 in Cyfrowy Polsat and until 30th June it should be free of charge for subscribers with HD decoders.

On 21st of May test transmission of Eurosport HD appears in Cyfrowy Polsat. Eurosport HD is the only channel that will transmit two most important sports events of the year in HD: Euro 2008 and Olympic Games in Beijing. Besides that the station will offer: Roland Garros tennis tournament, Tour de France, US Open, athletics, WTA and ATP tournaments, WTCC and Superbike races as well as winter sports. In 2008 Eurosport HD plans to broadcast over 2000 hours of sports in HD. Other events will be converted to HD format.

Eurosport HD is the third high definition channel in Cyfrowy Polsat, other ones are: Polsat Sport HD and HBO HD. All three channels are available without any additional charges.
